Stepped Wedge Rollout Sequence

Staggered Intervention Timeline

Because book topics differ, we use a staggered rollout (stepped-wedge) rather than parallel variants. Each title serves as its own pre-intervention control.

Phase 1: Baseline (Days 1 - 14)

Collect page traffic and KDP organic metrics without XEO stack optimizations. Status: Baseline active.

Phase 2: GROUND Intervention (Days 15+)

Deploy XEO Book Discovery Stack to GROUND. Keep THE ROAD and CIRCLE as untreated comparisons. Status: Scheduled.

Phase 3: THE ROAD & CIRCLE Intervention (Days 30+)

Stagger rollout to remaining titles. Status: Scheduled.

Confounders & Causal Limitations

Changes in book pricing, external promotion spikes, and KDP reporting lags (24-48 hours for KENP page reads) can influence sales. The Lab maps these attributes openly. Outbound click events represent intentions, while purchases represent confirmed transactions.
